Hadley Quisenberry, owner and lead designer of West Trade Interiors reached out to us this fall needing some updated imagery for her business. Having recently added two new team members, she needed brand imagery that incorporated her new staff. She specifically requested updated headshots for the whole team, team portraits, plus some “casual teamwork imagery and video” for use on her website and social media. Her hope for this imagery was “to humanize the brand and let potential clients get to know us.”
Our goal for the shoot was to create a digital story that accurately reflected the lively, yet organized WTI team, while emphasizing the individual gifts that each team member contributes to the West Trade Interiors brand.
We are so excited to introduce our audience to Hadley and her team at West Trade Interiors.
Tell us more about you and West Trade Interiors, Hadley!
“I joined my mom’s existing interior design firm in 2013 after a handful of years in fashion in NYC. I brought my fashion sense, fresh take on style, and deep understanding of systems and processes to WTI. Because I spent my childhood watching Mom work her magic and absorbed the principles of good design in the spaces she created, we quickly formed a symbiotic approach to designing together, and I’ve continued to learn from my mom’s lifetime of experience. Our partnership blended that lifetime of experience with a fresh design perspective, and fostered a company-wide culture that values quality design work, superior client service, and puts functional family living at the forefront. My mom retired in 2022 but the same principals remain.
Today, my team and I handle multi-room and whole-house design-build projects in Charlotte, NC and throughout the Southeast. Our specialty is creating energizing spaces for busy clients who value connecting and recharging in their homes with a hallmark of balancing personal style with relevant designs that will stand the test of time.”
What inspired you to start your business?
“I honestly fell into it. But, it definitely uses my God-given gifts and lets me prioritize my family (most of the time 😉), so I’ve stuck with it.”
What’s your secret sauce?
“Creativity is a given in our realm but, it’s our proven processes and strong organizational skills which keep our projects on time and on budget. We are proactive, clear communicators so our clients always know where things stand and don’t have to worry or wonder. We often get clients who have had an unsuccessful past experience with an interior designer and these are the qualities that they highlight appreciating in WTI. It’s not necessarily pretty or photographable but it brings them back time and again.”
What has been helpful to you as a small business owner?
“Keeping talented people around me and bouncing ideas around within the team. Listening well to clients is always a good idea.”
To say that we just adored working with these ladies is an understatement. They were a delight to work with start to finish, and their design skills are unparalleled. To see more of their stunning work, check out the September/October 2024 edition of Home Design & Decor Magazine.
